AMEND line 59 after the period by inserting "The department may apply for, receive and expend federal, state, local and any other public or private funds for beach erosion and channel maintenance."
FURTHER, amend by striking Section 6 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
SECTION 6. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
